Jay Schiffman

Jay is the Founder and Executive Director of Fight Hate. Jay is a serial entrepreneur committed to creating socially responsible businesses. He has started successful companies in entertainment, education, technology, and consumer goods.

After graduating NYU with a law degree and Ph.D. in political science, Jay taught classes at NYU, published, and clerked for a United States Judge. As a lawyer, he worked on complex civil litigation, civil rights, and constitutional law cases. Jay then left law and founded a number of companies, including a digital studio, a technology-based educational company, and a leading consumer goods brand. Jay has developed award-winning digital experiences for his own businesses, as well as clients like UCLA, Disney, NFL, American Red Cross, PBS, U.S. Defense Department, American Heart Association & others.

Blake Weissman

Blake is a social entrepreneur and the Fellowship Program Director at Fight Hate. A graduate of University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, he brings extensive experience in program development, management, and community building.

As the former University Director at Spill the Honey Foundation, he built Black-Jewish community coalitions alongside Dr. Clarence B. Jones, a key author of the “I Have a Dream Speech,” managing over 40 national ambassadors and collaborating with major institutions.

At Hawke Ventures, Blake pioneered a fellowship program diversifying venture capital, helping professionals from McKinsey, Google, and CitiBank transition into VC. The program, featured in TechCrunch, generated $1M in job placements for underrepresented professionals. As an entrepreneur, Blake has advised startup founders who’ve collectively raised hundreds of millions of dollars. In his current role, he focuses on developing student leaders to combat antisemitism and build bridges between communities.

Peter Cohl

As leader of Acuity Advancement, Peter led rebranding of Johns Hopkins and the communications strategy for its $6 billion capital campaign, Rising to the Challenge—and Leading Together, the $3.25 billion capital campaign at Washington University in St. Louis.

Peter also led rebranding of Muhlenberg College, Syracuse University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science, The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, The Ehlers-Danlos Society, Kadimah Academy, and the Foundation for For Jewish Philanthropies—plus major strategic and creative work for Cornell University, Cooper Union, Claremont McKenna, Sarah Lawrence, and Habitat for Humanity.

Previously, as global director of the higher education and nonprofit practice of Siegel+Gale, Peter led rebranding of Florida State University, The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, and large-scale projects for Brown University, College Board, American Express, Merrill Lynch, and Oppenheimer Funds.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Cornell University, Peter serves on the alumni board of PBK and as an advisor to the Global Jewish Communications Alliance.

Susie Hwang Kim

With over 15 years of experience in the human resources field, Susie is a seasoned HR executive known for driving strategic talent initiatives and fostering organizational growth. She specializes in employee engagement, talent acquisition, leadership development, and change management. A graduate of Columbia University with a Master of Arts in Psychology in Education, Susie has built a distinguished career leading HR transformations across diverse industries, including consulting and higher education. She has a proven ability to design and implement innovative policies that elevate company culture while aligning workforce strategies with organizational objectives. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, Susie excels at building high-performing teams, solving complex challenges, and ensuring compliance with HR standards. Her leadership is driven by a passion for empowering people, creating inclusive environments, and inspiring collaboration and excellence.

Sam Zahn

Sam serves as the alumni lead on the Fight Hate’s Campus Advisory Council.

Previously, he managed the American Jewish Committee’s (AJC) relations with AI, social media, and technology companies.

A graduate of Duke University, Sam was a Schwarzman (’23), Robertson (’22), and Truman (’21) Scholar. Previous work experiences include time at the Orleans Public Defenders, Deloitte Israel in Tel Aviv (Birthright Excel), and the Nachshon Project (Hebrew University of Jerusalem). He is currently studying at Oxford University.
